Rom 10:19 and Deut 32:21: the form of the quotation
Says It agrees with the LXX (κἀγὼ παραζηλώσω αὐτοὺς ἐπ’ οὐκ ἔθνει, ἐπ’ ἔθνει ἀσυνέτῳ παροργιῶ αὐτούς) word for word, with two differences: Ἐγώ for κἀγώ ("and I"), and ὑμᾶς ("you") twice for αὐτούς ("them").
Says Against the Hebrew (וַאֲנִי אַקְנִיאֵם בְּלֹא־עָם בְּגוֹי נָבָל אַכְעִיסֵם) the same two points differ: the Hebrew too has "and I" and "them." The Greek "not a nation" for "not a people" comes from the LXX.
Implies The change to "you" turns Moses' words about Israel into an address to Israel, fitting Paul's question "did Israel not understand?" (10:19).
