Rom 10:15–16: Isa 52:7 and 53:1 (MT and LXX)
Says Isa 52:7 reads מַה־נָּאווּ עַל־הֶהָרִים רַגְלֵי מְבַשֵּׂר (mah-nna'vu al-heharim ragle mevasser, "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news," BSB), with מְבַשֵּׂר טוֹב (mevasser tov, "who bring good tidings," BSB) in the next line.
Says Swete has ὡς ὥρα ἐπὶ τῶν ὀρέων, ὡς πόδες εὐαγγελιζομένου ἀκοὴν εἰρήνης, ὡς εὐαγγελιζόμενος ἀγαθά ("as the season upon the mountains, as the feet of one bringing news of peace, as one bringing good news of good things," literal). The margin of Q gives the later Greek versions, nearer the Hebrew, and a corrector's ὡραῖοι for ὥρα.
Says Paul's Ὡς ὡραῖοι οἱ πόδες τῶν εὐαγγελιζομένων τὰ ἀγαθά is nearer the Hebrew than Swete's text: ὡραῖοι renders נָּאווּ ("are lovely"; BDB p. 610), "on the mountains" is left out, and the herald is plural (singular in both). For the longer Byzantine wording, see the Greek note.
Says Nah 1:15 (MT 2:1) has nearly the same line, הִנֵּה עַל־הֶהָרִים רַגְלֵי מְבַשֵּׂר מַשְׁמִיעַ שָׁלוֹם, but has no "good"; Paul's τὰ ἀγαθά matches Isaiah's טוֹב.
Says Rom 10:16 quotes Isa 53:1, מִי הֶאֱמִין לִשְׁמֻעָתֵנוּ (mi he'emin lishmu'atenu, "Who has believed our message?" BSB). Swete has Κύριε, τίς ἐπίστευσεν τῇ ἀκοῇ ἡμῶν, word for word as Paul, including the vocative "Lord," which has no Hebrew counterpart. John 12:38 cites the same form.
Implies לִשְׁמֻעָתֵנוּ is built on שְׁמוּעָה ("report," BDB p. 1035), something heard, and Paul's ἐξ ἀκοῆς in 10:17 takes up the same Greek noun from the quotation in the verse before.
