Rom 9:15, 17: Exod 33:19 and 9:16 (MT and LXX)

Says Rom 9:15 quotes Exod 33:19, וְחַנֹּתִי אֶת־אֲשֶׁר אָחֹן וְרִחַמְתִּי אֶת־אֲשֶׁר אֲרַחֵם (vekhannoti et-asher akhon verikhamti et-asher arakhem, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion," BSB). Paul's Ἐλεήσω ὃν ἂν ἐλεῶ, καὶ οἰκτιρήσω ὃν ἂν οἰκτίρω is Swete's ἐλεήσω ὃν ἂν ἐλεῶ, καὶ οἰκτειρήσω ὃν ἂν οἰκτείρω, spelling οἰκτιρ- where Swete has οἰκτειρ-.

Says Exod 9:16 reads בַּעֲבוּר זֹאת הֶעֱמַדְתִּיךָ (ba'avur zot he'emadtikha, "I have raised you up for this very purpose," BSB). The verb is the Hiphil of עָמַד ('amad), "station, set, cause to stand" (BDB p. 763).

Says Swete has καὶ ἕνεκεν τούτου διετηρήθης, "and for this reason you were preserved" (literal), then ἵνα ἐνδείξωμαι ἐν σοὶ τὴν ἰσχύν μου and καὶ ὅπως διαγγελῇ τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ.

Says Paul's Εἰς αὐτὸ τοῦτο ἐξήγειρά σε uses an active verb, "I raised you up," which stands nearer the Hebrew Hiphil than the LXX passive. His τὴν δύναμίν μου matches A, where Swete has "strength"; his ὅπως ἐνδείξωμαι replaces the LXX conjunction; the last clause is the LXX.
