Ps 112

HHallelujah! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in His commandments. (LXX 111:1; Rahlfs 111:1) הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ ׀ אַשְׁרֵי־אִ֭ישׁ יָרֵ֣א אֶת־יְהוָ֑ה בְּ֝מִצְוֺתָ֗יו חָפֵ֥ץ מְאֹֽד׃ 2His descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. (LXX 111:2; Rahlfs 111:2) גִּבּ֣וֹר בָּ֭אָרֶץ יִהְיֶ֣ה זַרְע֑וֹ דּ֭וֹר יְשָׁרִ֣ים יְבֹרָֽךְ׃ 3Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. (LXX 111:3; Rahlfs 111:3) הוֹן־וָעֹ֥שֶׁר בְּבֵית֑וֹ וְ֝צִדְקָת֗וֹ עֹמֶ֥דֶת לָעַֽד׃ 4Light dawns in the darkness for the upright—for the gracious, compassionate, and righteous. (LXX 111:4; Rahlfs 111:4) זָ֘רַ֤ח בַּחֹ֣שֶׁךְ א֭וֹר לַיְשָׁרִ֑ים חַנּ֖וּן וְרַח֣וּם וְצַדִּֽיק׃ 5It is well with the man who is generous and lends freely, whose affairs are guided by justice. (LXX 111:5; Rahlfs 111:5) טֽוֹב־אִ֭ישׁ חוֹנֵ֣ן וּמַלְוֶ֑ה יְכַלְכֵּ֖ל דְּבָרָ֣יו בְּמִשְׁפָּֽט׃ 6Surely he will never be shaken; the righteous man will be remembered forever. (LXX 111:6; Rahlfs 111:6) כִּֽי־לְעוֹלָ֥ם לֹא־יִמּ֑וֹט לְזֵ֥כֶר ע֝וֹלָ֗ם יִהְיֶ֥ה צַדִּֽיק׃ 7He does not fear bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. (LXX 111:7; Rahlfs 111:7) מִשְּׁמוּעָ֣ה רָ֭עָה לֹ֣א יִירָ֑א נָכ֥וֹן לִ֝בּ֗וֹ בָּטֻ֥חַ בַּיהוָֽה׃ 8His heart is assured; he does not fear, until he looks in triumph on his foes. (LXX 111:8; Rahlfs 111:8) סָמ֣וּךְ לִ֭בּוֹ לֹ֣א יִירָ֑א עַ֖ד אֲשֶׁר־יִרְאֶ֣ה בְצָרָֽיו׃ 9He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honor. (LXX 111:9; Rahlfs 111:9) פִּזַּ֤ר ׀ נָ֘תַ֤ן לָאֶבְיוֹנִ֗ים צִ֭דְקָתוֹ עֹמֶ֣דֶת לָעַ֑ד קַ֝רְנ֗וֹ תָּר֥וּם בְּכָבֽוֹד׃ 10The wicked man will see and be grieved; he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the desires of the wicked will perish. (LXX 111:10; Rahlfs 111:10) רָ֘שָׁ֤ע יִרְאֶ֨ה ׀ וְכָעָ֗ס שִׁנָּ֣יו יַחֲרֹ֣ק וְנָמָ֑ס תַּאֲוַ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים תֹּאבֵֽד׃
