Ps 20

FFor the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. (MT 20:2; LXX 19:1; LXX 19:2; Rahlfs 19:1; Rahlfs 19:2) לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ 2May He send you help from the sanctuary and sustain you from Zion. (MT 20:3; LXX 19:3; Rahlfs 19:3) יַֽעַנְךָ֣ יְ֭הוָה בְּי֣וֹם צָרָ֑ה יְ֝שַׂגֶּבְךָ֗ שֵׁ֤ם ׀ אֱלֹהֵ֬י יַעֲקֹֽב׃ 3May He remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings. Selah (MT 20:4; LXX 19:4; Rahlfs 19:4) יִשְׁלַֽח־עֶזְרְךָ֥ מִקֹּ֑דֶשׁ וּ֝מִצִּיּ֗וֹן יִסְעָדֶֽךָּ׃ 4May He give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed. (MT 20:5; LXX 19:5; Rahlfs 19:5) יִזְכֹּ֥ר כָּל־מִנְחֹתֶ֑ךָ וְעוֹלָתְךָ֖ יְדַשְּׁנֶ֣ה סֶֽלָה׃ 5May we shout for joy at your victory and raise a banner in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your petitions. (MT 20:6; LXX 19:6; Rahlfs 19:6) יִֽתֶּן־לְךָ֥ כִלְבָבֶ֑ךָ וְֽכָל־עֲצָתְךָ֥ יְמַלֵּֽא׃ 6Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He answers him from His holy heaven with the saving power of His right hand. (MT 20:7; LXX 19:7; Rahlfs 19:7) נְרַנְּנָ֤ה ׀ בִּ֘ישׁ֤וּעָתֶ֗ךָ וּבְשֵֽׁם־אֱלֹהֵ֥ינוּ נִדְגֹּ֑ל יְמַלֵּ֥א יְ֝הוָ֗ה כָּל־מִשְׁאֲלוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ 7Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. (MT 20:8; LXX 19:8; Rahlfs 19:8) עַתָּ֤ה יָדַ֗עְתִּי כִּ֤י הוֹשִׁ֥יעַ ׀ יְהוָ֗ה מְשִׁ֫יח֥וֹ יַ֭עֲנֵהוּ מִשְּׁמֵ֣י קָדְשׁ֑וֹ בִּ֝גְבֻר֗וֹת יֵ֣שַׁע יְמִינֽוֹ׃ 8They collapse and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. (MT 20:9; LXX 19:9; Rahlfs 19:9) אֵ֣לֶּה בָ֭רֶכֶב וְאֵ֣לֶּה בַסּוּסִ֑ים וַאֲנַ֓חְנוּ ׀ בְּשֵׁם־יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣ינוּ נַזְכִּֽיר׃ 9O Lord, save the king. Answer us on the day we call. (MT 20:10; LXX 19:10; Rahlfs 19:10) הֵ֭מָּה כָּרְע֣וּ וְנָפָ֑לוּ וַאֲנַ֥חְנוּ קַּ֝֗מְנוּ וַנִּתְעוֹדָֽד׃
