Ps 33

RRejoice in the Lord, O righteous ones; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him. (LXX 32:1; Rahlfs 32:1) רַנְּנ֣וּ צַ֭דִּיקִים בַּֽיהוָ֑ה לַ֝יְשָׁרִ֗ים נָאוָ֥ה תְהִלָּֽה׃ 2Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to Him with ten strings. (LXX 32:2; Rahlfs 32:2) הוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה בְּכִנּ֑וֹר בְּנֵ֥בֶל עָ֝שׂ֗וֹר זַמְּרוּ־לֽוֹ׃ 3Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy. (LXX 32:3; Rahlfs 32:3) שִֽׁירוּ־ל֭וֹ שִׁ֣יר חָדָ֑שׁ הֵיטִ֥יבוּ נַ֝גֵּ֗ן בִּתְרוּעָֽה׃ 4For the word of the Lord is upright, and all His work is trustworthy. (LXX 32:4; Rahlfs 32:4) כִּֽי־יָשָׁ֥ר דְּבַר־יְהוָ֑ה וְכָל־מַ֝עֲשֵׂ֗הוּ בֶּאֱמוּנָֽה׃ 5The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His loving devotion. (LXX 32:5; Rahlfs 32:5) אֹ֭הֵב צְדָקָ֣ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט חֶ֥סֶד יְ֝הוָ֗ה מָלְאָ֥ה הָאָֽרֶץ׃ 6By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all the stars by the breath of His mouth. (LXX 32:6; Rahlfs 32:6) בִּדְבַ֣ר יְ֭הוָה שָׁמַ֣יִם נַעֲשׂ֑וּ וּבְר֥וּחַ פִּ֝֗יו כָּל־צְבָאָֽם׃ 7He piles up the waters of the sea; He puts the depths into storehouses. (LXX 32:7; Rahlfs 32:7) כֹּנֵ֣ס כַּ֭נֵּד מֵ֣י הַיָּ֑ם נֹתֵ֖ן בְּאֹצָר֣וֹת תְּהוֹמֽוֹת׃ 8Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere Him. (LXX 32:8; Rahlfs 32:8) יִֽירְא֣וּ מֵ֭יְהוָה כָּל־הָאָ֑רֶץ מִמֶּ֥נּוּ יָ֝ג֗וּרוּ כָּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל׃ 9For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm. (LXX 32:9; Rahlfs 32:9) כִּ֤י ה֣וּא אָמַ֣ר וַיֶּ֑הִי הֽוּא־צִ֝וָּ֗ה וַֽיַּעֲמֹֽד׃ 10The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations; He thwarts the devices of the peoples. (LXX 32:10; Rahlfs 32:10) יְֽהוָ֗ה הֵפִ֥יר עֲצַת־גּוֹיִ֑ם הֵ֝נִ֗יא מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת עַמִּֽים׃ 11The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the purposes of His heart to all generations. (LXX 32:11; Rahlfs 32:11) עֲצַ֣ת יְ֭הוָה לְעוֹלָ֣ם תַּעֲמֹ֑ד מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת לִ֝בּ֗וֹ לְדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃ 12Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His inheritance! (LXX 32:12; Rahlfs 32:12) אַשְׁרֵ֣י הַ֭גּוֹי אֲשֶׁר־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑יו הָעָ֓ם ׀ בָּחַ֖ר לְנַחֲלָ֣ה לֽוֹ׃ 13The Lord looks down from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. (LXX 32:13; Rahlfs 32:13) מִ֭שָּׁמַיִם הִבִּ֣יט יְהוָ֑ה רָ֝אָ֗ה אֶֽת־כָּל־בְּנֵ֥י הָאָדָֽם׃ 14From His dwelling place He gazes on all who inhabit the earth. (LXX 32:14; Rahlfs 32:14) מִֽמְּכוֹן־שִׁבְתּ֥וֹ הִשְׁגִּ֑יחַ אֶ֖ל כָּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָֽרֶץ׃ 15He shapes the hearts of each; He considers all their works. (LXX 32:15; Rahlfs 32:15) הַיֹּצֵ֣ר יַ֣חַד לִבָּ֑ם הַ֝מֵּבִ֗ין אֶל־כָּל־מַעֲשֵׂיהֶֽם׃ 16No king is saved by his vast army; no warrior is delivered by his great strength. (LXX 32:16; Rahlfs 32:16) אֵֽין־הַ֭מֶּלֶךְ נוֹשָׁ֣ע בְּרָב־חָ֑יִל גִּ֝בּ֗וֹר לֹֽא־יִנָּצֵ֥ל בְּרָב־כֹּֽחַ׃ 17A horse is a vain hope for salvation; even its great strength cannot save. (LXX 32:17; Rahlfs 32:17) שֶׁ֣קֶר הַ֭סּוּס לִתְשׁוּעָ֑ה וּבְרֹ֥ב חֵ֝יל֗וֹ לֹ֣א יְמַלֵּֽט׃ 18Surely the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His loving devotion (LXX 32:18; Rahlfs 32:18) הִנֵּ֤ה עֵ֣ין יְ֭הוָה אֶל־יְרֵאָ֑יו לַֽמְיַחֲלִ֥ים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃ 19to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. (LXX 32:19; Rahlfs 32:19) לְהַצִּ֣יל מִמָּ֣וֶת נַפְשָׁ֑ם וּ֝לְחַיּוֹתָ֗ם בָּרָעָֽב׃ 20Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. (LXX 32:20; Rahlfs 32:20) נַ֭פְשֵׁנוּ חִכְּתָ֣ה לַֽיהוָ֑ה עֶזְרֵ֖נוּ וּמָגִנֵּ֣נוּ הֽוּא׃ 21For our hearts rejoice in Him, since we trust in His holy name. (LXX 32:21; Rahlfs 32:21) כִּי־ב֭וֹ יִשְׂמַ֣ח לִבֵּ֑נוּ כִּ֤י בְשֵׁ֖ם קָדְשׁ֣וֹ בָטָֽחְנוּ׃ 22May Your loving devotion rest on us, O Lord, as we put our hope in You. (LXX 32:22; Rahlfs 32:22) יְהִֽי־חַסְדְּךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה עָלֵ֑ינוּ כַּ֝אֲשֶׁ֗ר יִחַ֥לְנוּ לָֽךְ׃
