For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. When Nathan the prophet came to him after his adultery with Bathsheba. 2Wash me clean of my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. (MT 51:4; LXX 50:4; Rahlfs 50:4)

4Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You may be proved right when You speak and blameless when You judge. (MT 51:6; LXX 50:6; Rahlfs 50:6)
5Surely I was brought forth in iniquity; I was sinful when my mother conceived me. (MT 51:7; LXX 50:7; Rahlfs 50:7)
6Surely You desire truth in the inmost being; You teach me wisdom in the inmost place. (MT 51:8; LXX 50:8; Rahlfs 50:8)
7Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. (MT 51:9; LXX 50:9; Rahlfs 50:9)
