Ps 86

AA prayer of David. Incline Your ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. (LXX 85:1; Rahlfs 85:1) תְּפִלָּ֗ה לְדָ֫וִ֥ד הַטֵּֽה־יְהוָ֣ה אָזְנְךָ֣ עֲנֵ֑נִי כִּֽי־עָנִ֖י וְאֶבְי֣וֹן אָֽנִי׃ 2Preserve my soul, for I am godly. You are my God; save Your servant who trusts in You. (LXX 85:2; Rahlfs 85:2) שָֽׁמְרָ֣ה נַפְשִׁי֮ כִּֽי־חָסִ֪יד אָ֥נִי הוֹשַׁ֣ע עַ֭בְדְּךָ אַתָּ֣ה אֱלֹהַ֑י הַבּוֹטֵ֥חַ אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ 3Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I call to You all day long. (LXX 85:3; Rahlfs 85:3) חָנֵּ֥נִי אֲדֹנָ֑י כִּ֥י אֵלֶ֥יךָ אֶ֝קְרָ֗א כָּל־הַיּֽוֹם׃ 4Bring joy to Your servant, for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. (LXX 85:4; Rahlfs 85:4) שַׂ֭מֵּחַ נֶ֣פֶשׁ עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ כִּ֥י אֵלֶ֥יךָ אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י נַפְשִׁ֥י אֶשָּֽׂא׃ 5For You, O Lord, are kind and forgiving, rich in loving devotion to all who call on You. (LXX 85:5; Rahlfs 85:5) כִּֽי־אַתָּ֣ה אֲ֭דֹנָי ט֣וֹב וְסַלָּ֑ח וְרַב־חֶ֝֗סֶד לְכָל־קֹרְאֶֽיךָ׃ 6Hear my prayer, O Lord, and attend to my plea for mercy. (LXX 85:6; Rahlfs 85:6) הַאֲזִ֣ינָה יְ֭הוָה תְּפִלָּתִ֑י וְ֝הַקְשִׁ֗יבָה בְּק֣וֹל תַּחֲנוּנוֹתָֽי׃ 7In the day of my distress I call on You, because You answer me. (LXX 85:7; Rahlfs 85:7) בְּי֣וֹם צָ֭רָתִ֥י אֶקְרָאֶ֗ךָּ כִּ֣י תַעֲנֵֽנִי׃ 8O Lord, there is none like You among the gods, nor any works like Yours. (LXX 85:8; Rahlfs 85:8) אֵין־כָּמ֖וֹךָ בָאֱלֹהִ֥ים ׀ אֲדֹנָ֗י וְאֵ֣ין כְּֽמַעֲשֶֽׂיךָ׃ 9All the nations You have made will come and bow before You, O Lord, and they will glorify Your name. (LXX 85:9; Rahlfs 85:9) כָּל־גּוֹיִ֤ם ׀ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֗יתָ יָב֤וֹאוּ ׀ וְיִשְׁתַּחֲו֣וּ לְפָנֶ֣יךָ אֲדֹנָ֑י וִֽיכַבְּד֣וּ לִשְׁמֶֽךָ׃ 10For You are great and perform wonders; You alone are God. (LXX 85:10; Rahlfs 85:10) כִּֽי־גָד֣וֹל אַ֭תָּה וְעֹשֵׂ֣ה נִפְלָא֑וֹת אַתָּ֖ה אֱלֹהִ֣ים לְבַדֶּֽךָ׃ 11Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name. (LXX 85:11; Rahlfs 85:11) ה֘וֹרֵ֤נִי יְהוָ֨ה ׀ דַּרְכֶּ֗ךָ אֲהַלֵּ֥ךְ בַּאֲמִתֶּ֑ךָ יַחֵ֥ד לְ֝בָבִ֗י לְיִרְאָ֥ה שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ 12I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify Your name forever. (LXX 85:12; Rahlfs 85:12) אוֹדְךָ֤ ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י אֱ֭לֹהַי בְּכָל־לְבָבִ֑י וַאֲכַבְּדָ֖ה שִׁמְךָ֣ לְעוֹלָֽם׃ 13For great is Your loving devotion to me; You have delivered me from the depths of Sheol. (LXX 85:13; Rahlfs 85:13) כִּֽי־חַ֭סְדְּךָ גָּד֣וֹל עָלָ֑י וְהִצַּ֥לְתָּ נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י מִשְּׁא֥וֹל תַּחְתִּיָּֽה׃ 14The arrogant rise against me, O God; a band of ruthless men seeks my life; they have no regard for You. (LXX 85:14; Rahlfs 85:14) אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀ זֵ֘דִ֤ים קָֽמוּ־עָלַ֗י וַעֲדַ֣ת עָ֭רִיצִים בִּקְשׁ֣וּ נַפְשִׁ֑י וְלֹ֖א שָׂמ֣וּךָ לְנֶגְדָּֽם׃ 15But You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion and faithfulness. (LXX 85:15; Rahlfs 85:15) וְאַתָּ֣ה אֲ֭דֹנָי אֵל־רַח֣וּם וְחַנּ֑וּן אֶ֥רֶךְ אַ֝פַּ֗יִם וְרַב־חֶ֥סֶד וֶאֱמֶֽת׃ 16Turn to me and have mercy; grant Your strength to Your servant; save the son of Your maidservant. (LXX 85:16; Rahlfs 85:16) פְּנֵ֥ה אֵלַ֗י וְחָ֫נֵּ֥נִי תְּנָֽה־עֻזְּךָ֥ לְעַבְדֶּ֑ךָ וְ֝הוֹשִׁ֗יעָה לְבֶן־אֲמָתֶֽךָ׃ 17Show me a sign of Your goodness, that my enemies may see and be ashamed; for You, O Lord, have helped me and comforted me. (LXX 85:17; Rahlfs 85:17) עֲשֵֽׂה־עִמִּ֥י א֗וֹת לְט֫וֹבָ֥ה וְיִרְא֣וּ שֹׂנְאַ֣י וְיֵבֹ֑שׁוּ כִּֽי־אַתָּ֥ה יְ֝הוָ֗ה עֲזַרְתַּ֥נִי וְנִחַמְתָּֽנִי׃
