The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the distant shores be glad. (LXX 96:1; Rahlfs 96:1)
יְהוָ֣ה מָ֭לָךְ תָּגֵ֣ל הָאָ֑רֶץ יִ֝שְׂמְח֗וּ אִיִּ֥ים רַבִּֽים׃
2Clouds and darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are His throne’s foundation. (LXX 96:2; Rahlfs 96:2)
עָנָ֣ן וַעֲרָפֶ֣ל סְבִיבָ֑יו צֶ֥דֶק וּ֝מִשְׁפָּ֗ט מְכ֣וֹן כִּסְאֽוֹ׃
3Fire goes before Him and consumes His foes on every side. (LXX 96:3; Rahlfs 96:3)
אֵ֭שׁ לְפָנָ֣יו תֵּלֵ֑ךְ וּתְלַהֵ֖ט סָבִ֣יב צָרָֽיו׃
4His lightning illuminates the world; the earth sees and trembles. (LXX 96:4; Rahlfs 96:4)
הֵאִ֣ירוּ בְרָקָ֣יו תֵּבֵ֑ל רָאֲתָ֖ה וַתָּחֵ֣ל הָאָֽרֶץ׃
5The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. (LXX 96:5; Rahlfs 96:5)
הָרִ֗ים כַּדּוֹנַ֗ג נָ֭מַסּוּ מִלִּפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה מִ֝לִּפְנֵ֗י אֲד֣וֹן כָּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
6The heavens proclaim His righteousness; all the peoples see His glory. (LXX 96:6; Rahlfs 96:6)
הִגִּ֣ידוּ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם צִדְק֑וֹ וְרָא֖וּ כָל־הָעַמִּ֣ים כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃
7All worshipers of images are put to shame—those who boast in idols. Worship Him, all you gods! (LXX 96:7; Rahlfs 96:7)
יֵבֹ֤שׁוּ ׀ כָּל־עֹ֬בְדֵי פֶ֗סֶל הַמִּֽתְהַלְלִ֥ים בָּאֱלִילִ֑ים הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ־ל֝וֹ כָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים׃
8Zion hears and rejoices, and the towns of Judah exult because of Your judgments, O Lord. (LXX 96:8; Rahlfs 96:8)
שָׁמְעָ֬ה וַתִּשְׂמַ֨ח ׀ צִיּ֗וֹן וַ֭תָּגֵלְנָה בְּנ֣וֹת יְהוּדָ֑ה לְמַ֖עַן מִשְׁפָּטֶ֣יךָ יְהוָֽה׃
9For You, O Lord, are Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. (LXX 96:9; Rahlfs 96:9)
כִּֽי־אַתָּ֤ה יְהוָ֗ה עֶלְי֥וֹן עַל־כָּל־הָאָ֑רֶץ מְאֹ֥ד נַ֝עֲלֵ֗יתָ עַל־כָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים׃
10Hate evil, O you who love the Lord! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked. (LXX 96:10; Rahlfs 96:10)
אֹהֲבֵ֥י יְהוָ֗ה שִׂנְא֫וּ רָ֥ע שֹׁ֭מֵר נַפְשׁ֣וֹת חֲסִידָ֑יו מִיַּ֥ד רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים יַצִּילֵֽם׃
11Light shines on the righteous, gladness on the upright in heart. (LXX 96:11; Rahlfs 96:11)
א֭וֹר זָרֻ֣עַ לַצַּדִּ֑יק וּֽלְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵ֥ב שִׂמְחָֽה׃
12Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous ones, and praise His holy name. (LXX 96:12; Rahlfs 96:12)
שִׂמְח֣וּ צַ֭דִּיקִים בַּֽיהוָ֑ה וְ֝הוֹד֗וּ לְזֵ֣כֶר קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃
