μισέω miseō
hate
Team definition
To hate, detest (Abbott-Smith; Dodson). Abbott-Smith notes that in comparisons the corresponding Hebrew word can mean to love less or set aside in favor of another (Gen 29:30–31; Deut 21:15–16), and so probably in Luke 14:26; John 12:25; Rom 9:13 (quoting Mal 1:3).
