Team definition
Transitive in the future, first aorist, and middle first aorist: to put before or set over. Intransitive in the perfect, pluperfect, second aorist, and middle present and imperfect: to preside, rule, or govern, sometimes with a genitive of the persons led (Rom 12:8; 1 Thess 5:12; 1 Tim 3:4–5, 12; 5:17). With a genitive of a thing it can mean to direct or maintain (Titus 3:8, 14). Which of those intransitive senses fits a given clause is a matter of context.
