συσχηματίζομαι syschēmatizomai
be conformed · conform oneself
Team definition
A compound of σύν and σχῆμα: to share or take on an outward form, to conform. In the New Testament it appears in the passive or middle: be conformed, or conform oneself, to something named in the dative (Rom 12:2, τῷ αἰῶνι τούτῳ; 1 Pet 1:14). Some printed texts spell the prefix συν- rather than συσ-. The present imperative in Rom 12:2 is a command about conformity; aspect and ongoing force are argued from the wider syntax, not from the gloss alone.
