subject · submit
Team definition
To place or rank under, to subject. The middle means to subject oneself or obey, often with the dative of the person or thing. In Rom 10:3 the aorist passive ὑπετάγησαν with the dative τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ means they did not submit. The same construction with the dative is used of submitting to a person or authority (Rom 13:1).
