2 Cor 13

So now in my absence I warn those who sinned earlier and everyone else: If I return, I will not spare anyone, προείρηκαI have warnedV-RAI-1SκαὶandCONJπρολέγωI warn,V-PAI-1SὡςasPRTπαρὼνbeing presentV-PAP-NSMτὸtheT-ASNδεύτερονsecond timeA-ASNκαὶandCONJἀπὼνbeing absentV-PAP-NSMνῦν,nowADVτοῖςto thoseT-DPMπροημαρτηκόσινhaving sinned beforeV-RAP-DPMκαὶandCONJτοῖςto theT-DPMλοιποῖςrestA-DPMπᾶσιν,all,A-DPMὅτιthatCONJἐὰνifCONDἔλθωI may comeV-2AAS-1SεἰςtoPREPτὸthe [same]T-ASNπάλινagainADVοὐnotPRT-Nφείσομαι,I will spare [anyone].V-FDI-1S 3since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak in dealing with you but is powerful among you. ἐπεὶsinceCONJδοκιμὴνa proofN-ASFζητεῖτεyou seekV-PAI-2Pτοῦ<the>T-GSMἐνinPREPἐμοὶme myselfP-1DSλαλοῦντοςspeakingV-PAP-GSMΧριστοῦ·of ChristN-GSM-TὃςwhoR-NSMεἰςtowardPREPὑμᾶςyouP-2APοὐκnotPRT-Nἀσθενεῖis weakV-PAI-3SἀλλὰbutCONJδυνατεῖHe is powerfulV-PAI-3SἐνamongPREPὑμῖν,you.P-2DP 4For He was indeed crucified in weakness, yet He lives by God’s power. For we are also weak in Him, yet by God’s power we will live with Him concerning you. καὶAndCONJγὰρforCONJἐσταυρώθηHe was crucifiedV-API-3SἐξinPREPἀσθενείας,weaknessN-GSFἀλλὰyetCONJζῇHe livesV-PAI-3SἐκbyPREPδυνάμεωςpowerN-GSFθεοῦ.God’s;N-GSM-TκαὶAlsoCONJγὰρforCONJἡμεῖςwe ourselvesP-1NPἀσθενοῦμενare weakV-PAI-1PἐνinPREPαὐτῷ,HimP-DSMἀλλὰbutCONJζήσομενwe will liveV-FAI-1PσὺνwithPREPαὐτῷHimP-DSMἐκbyPREPδυνάμεωςpowerN-GSFθεοῦGod’sN-GSM-TεἰςtowardPREPὑμᾶς.you.P-2AP 5Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you fail the test? ἙαυτοὺςYourselvesF-2APMπειράζετεdo examineV-PAM-2PεἰwhetherCONDἐστὲyou areV-PAI-2PἐνinPREPτῇtheT-DSFπίστει,faith,N-DSFἑαυτοὺςyourselvesF-2APMδοκιμάζετε·do test;V-PAM-2PἢOrCONJοὐκsurelyPRT-Nἐπιγινώσκετεyou do recognizeV-PAI-2PἑαυτοὺςyourselvesF-2APMὅτιthatCONJἸησοῦςJesusN-NSM-PΧριστὸςChrist [is]N-NSM-TἐνinPREPὑμῖν;youP-2DPεἰexceptCONDμήτιsurely evenPRT-NἀδόκιμοίfailingA-NPMἐστε.you are!V-PAI-2P 6And I hope you will realize that we have not failed the test. ἐλπίζω δὲ ὅτι γνώσεσθε ὅτι ἡμεῖς οὐκ ἐσμὲν ἀδόκιμοι. ἐλπίζωI hopeV-PAI-1SδὲnowCONJὅτιthatCONJγνώσεσθεyou will knowV-FDI-2PὅτιthatCONJἡμεῖςwe ourselvesP-1NPοὐκnotPRT-NἐσμὲνareV-PAI-1Pἀδόκιμοι.unapproved.A-NPM 7Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong—not that we will appear to have stood the test, but that you will do what is right, even if we appear to have failed. εὐχόμεθαWe prayV-PNI-1PδὲnowCONJπρὸςtoPREPτὸν<the>T-ASMθεὸνGodN-ASM-TμὴnotPRT-Nποιῆσαιto doV-AANὑμᾶςyouP-2APκακὸνwrongA-ASNμηδέν,nothing,A-ASN-NοὐχnotPRT-NἵναthatCONJἡμεῖςwe ourselvesP-1NPδόκιμοιapprovedA-NPMφανῶμεν,may appear,V-2APS-1Pἀλλ’butCONJἵναthatCONJὑμεῖςyou yourselvesP-2NPτὸwhat [is]T-ASNκαλὸνrightA-ASNποιῆτε,may do,V-PAS-2Pἡμεῖςwe ourselvesP-1NPδὲthoughCONJὡςasPRTἀδόκιμοιunapprovedA-NPMὦμεν.may appear.V-PAS-1P 8For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. οὐNothingPRT-NγὰρforCONJδυνάμεθάhave we powerV-PMI-1PτιanyX-ASNκατὰagainstPREPτῆςtheT-GSFἀληθείας,truthN-GSFἀλλὰbutCONJὑπὲρforPREPτῆςtheT-GSFἀληθείας.truth.N-GSF 9In fact, we rejoice when we are weak but you are strong, and our prayer is for your perfection. χαίρομενWe rejoiceV-PAI-1PγὰρforCONJὅτανwhenCONJἡμεῖςwe ourselvesP-1NPἀσθενῶμεν,may be weak,V-PAS-1Pὑμεῖςyou yourselvesP-2NPδὲhoweverCONJδυνατοὶstrongA-NPMἦτε·may be;V-PAS-2PτοῦτοBut thisD-ASNκαὶalsoCONJεὐχόμεθα,We pray forV-PNI-1PτὴνtheT-ASFὑμῶνof youP-2GPκατάρτισιν.perfection.N-ASF 10This is why I write these things while absent, so that when I am present I will not need to be severe in my use of the authority that the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down. διὰBecause ofPREPτοῦτοthereforeD-ASNταῦταthese thingsD-APNἀπὼνbeing absentV-PAP-NSMγράφω,I write,V-PAI-1Sἵναso thatCONJπαρὼνbeing presentV-PAP-NSMμὴnotPRT-Nἀποτόμωςwith severityADVχρήσωμαιI may treat [you]V-ADS-1Sκατὰaccording toPREPτὴνtheT-ASFἐξουσίανauthorityN-ASFἣνthatR-ASFὁtheT-NSMκύριοςLordN-NSM-Tἔδωκένhas givenV-AAI-3Sμοι,meP-1DSεἰςforPREPοἰκοδομὴνbuilding upN-ASFκαὶandCONJοὐκnotPRT-NεἰςforPREPκαθαίρεσιν.tearing down.N-ASF 11Finally, brothers, rejoice! Aim for perfect harmony, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
