Print the text without μέν, with medium confidence. ℵ* B D* G and the early versions agree, but A joins the Byzantine witnesses, and either change is easy to explain. The meaning is the same either way.

Minuscules are Gregory–Aland numbers, with Tischendorf's Pauline number once in parentheses ("Tisch."); * = first hand, superscript ᶜ (stored as c, e.g. Dc) = a later corrector; full key in src.tischendorf-8. Minuscules whose Gregory–Aland number is not verified are summarized, not listed. Tischendorf names mainly dissenting witnesses, so some majuscules on the other side are inferred from his silence.

SBLGNT, WH and Treg lack μέν; RP2018 and TR read ἀπειθοῦσι(ν) μέν.

Manuscripts (Tischendorf 8, vol. 2 (1872), p. 371): without μέν: ℵ* B D* G, Theophilus (Ad Autol. 1.20), Eusebius (Praep. ev., reading ἀπιστοῦσι), the Latin d e g and vg, cop, arm, aeth. Tischendorf notes that syrsch and Ambrosiaster do not express μέν here, but they do not express the μέν of 2:7 either, so they are not cited. With μέν: ℵc A Dc E K L P and apparently all others, syr^p, Origen, Chrysostom, Theodoret, John of Damascus. Spelling: -σι ℵ A L; -σιν B* D P; G ἀπειθοῦσειν.

Internal: μέν answers τοῖς μέν in 2:7 and sets up πειθομένοις δέ ("but obey unrighteousness"). A scribe could add it to balance that contrast, or drop it as awkward after τοῖς δέ.
